We are looking for someone like you to join our Graduate Program at the Swiss Franc Debt Syndicate desk in our Global Markets (GM) franchise in Zurich. You will get the chance to learn the fundamentals of Debt Capital Markets, expand your knowledge of Investment Banking and gain experience and seniority in order to actively to participate to the success of BNP Paribas’ leading Debt Syndicate franchise in Switzerland. As an integral part of the team you will be responsible for various tasks and contribute to the team’s objectives and achievements.

YOUR WORK DAY

The key duties and responsibilities include: 

•  Active support of the Syndicate team at all stages of a Debt Capital Market transaction, from initial pitching to underwriting
• Proactive involvement in terms of trade idea generation, pricing as well risk-taking considerations
• Active collaboration with BNPP’s Debt Capital Market teams across the globe and time zones
• Responsible for the creation of pitchbooks and marketing materials
• Maintenance of databases and dynamic market data
• Development of new support tools and optimization of trade processes
• Active P&L and risk analysis
• Management of post-trade and settlement processes

YOUR PROFILE

• Recently graduated from University in Banking/Economics/Finance, Master degree
• Strong interest in the area of Capital Markets, Trading and Corporate Finance
• Minimum 6 months of work experience within a financial institution

YOUR SKILLS

• Strong team working capability with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with different contact persons on all hierarchical levels and from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Ability to prioritise workload, sense of urgency and attention to detail, work precisely, fast and well organised under time pressure
• Show high flexibility, ability to adapt, work independently and think out of the box
• Good knowledge of Excel/VBA. Other programming skills are an advantage
• Basic knowledge of Bloomberg and other market related tools
• Fluent in English and German, additional languages are an advantage
